Indian Appeal

The Indian Appeal was edited by Hira Lal Kumar and published by numerous agencies in Calcutta, Oxford and London. A first series of the journal was published from September 1889 to April 1892 (Vol. 1 to Vol. 4). A second series began in 1907.

- The journal switches from volume-based to continuous issue numbering in September 1890. The August 1890 issue is numbered Vol. 2, No. 8; the September 1890 issue is numbered Vol. 2, No. 13.
- The journal was not published between July and December 1891.
The subtitle of the Indian Appeal varied:
- A Monthly Magazine Intended to Give Expression to the Bona Fide Opinions of the Native and Anglo-Indian Press on Indian Politics (Vol. 1 to Vol. 2, No. 4)
- A Monthly Magazine on Religious, Social, Educational, and Political Questions of India (Vol. 4)
- A Monthly Journal Only on Indian Topics (new series)
